We will use morphological operations (erode and dilate) in practical applications! In this activity, we shall use it to extract handwritten or printed text with lines on it. We shall use previous concepts we have learned.

For this experiment, we shall be using Basic Video Processing techniques in order to determine the value of gravity g! Well, videos are actually just a series of images which are shown in succession with rapid speed so that it looks like that its moving.

For the next activity, we used histogram manipulation for the enhancement of images. Well, why do we need it at all? Of course, not every picture is perfect. When I mean of “perfect” (if in such case it exists), I may say that there may be flaws in the picture such as incorrect lightning or just the plain limitation of one’s camera which makes it “imperfect”.

In this blog, we will estimate the area of images with defined edges. The thought really sounds cool for me but trust me, it really needs some effort to pull this one off. We will use two ways in order to estimate the area in the image: (1) by pixel counting and (2) Green’s theorem.

For this blog, I’ll teach you how to segment a certain portion in an image based on a color. We will use parametric and non-parametric segmentation.

For this blog entry, I’ll be discussing about Fourier transform. For those who do not know anything about Fourier Transform (FT), just imagine that it’s a way to a new world—in this world, you see frequency profiles instead of the usual things you see.
